The Edmonton Riverhawks are headed to the second round of the West Coast League Baseball playoffs for the first time.
Their series against the Victoria Harbourcats ended in a victory for Edmonton, taking the series 2-1.
“Each year, we are trying to progress and move to the next step. I really think we have a special group this season,” said head coach Jake Lanferman. “We have shown it countless times. It has been so much fun to watch. Hopefully we can continue to play good baseball heading into Tuesday.”
The WCL North Division Final takes place tonight, with Edmonton hosting the Bellingham Bells. Opening pitch is at 7:05 p.m. at RE/MAX field.
