Tropical Storm Erin continues to move quickly to the west and is expected to begin strengthening today, according to the latest advisory from the National Hurricane Center.

The latest advisory predicts Erin could be a strong Category 3 storm with maximum sustained winds of 120 mp h within the next five days.

Forecasters are encouraging residents in Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and northern Leeward Islands to closely monitor Erin, which is expected to begin strengthening today.
