SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Service on the Market Street Muni line is recovering Wednesday morning after being disrupted by a system issue earlier. According to the San Francisco Municipal Transit Agency, service along the Market Street corridor was delayed in both directions between Embarcadero and West Portal.
The transit agency has arranged surface buses to provide service from West Portal to Caltrain. BART along the Market Street corridor is still providing regular service and will honor Muni transfers, SFMTA said.
According to SFMTA, the system issue was preventing subway service and the agency did not have signals or control over track switches.
As of about 8:40 a.m., SFMTA said subway service along Market was beginning to move again. However, the system is still rebooting and service
