LAUREL, Miss. (WDAM) - The Laurel Police Department has now made 11 arrests in a murder investigation from June 2025.

8th suspect arrested in Laurel fatal shooting, according to police

LPD Chief Earl Reed said the latest arrests happened on August 7 and included:

Malcom Wilson, 30

Antavious Moffett, 18

Montrell Nix, 17

All three men face murder charges. Moffett, however, faces additional charges of public drunkenness and felony drive-by shooting.

The Jones County Adult Correctional Center shows a bond of $250,000 for Moffett.

The arrests stem from the June 15 shooting of Kenneth Dean on Johnson Circle at South Park Village.

LPD has also arrested eight other people over the course of their investigation. Those charges ranged from murder, accessory after the fact and harboring a fug
