WATSEKA, Ill. (WAND) — A worker at Lyon LLC in Watseka is dead after a garage door came down on him.

The Iroquois County Coroner said 64-year-old Richard Malone was closing down the warehouse when he got trapped under the door.

According to the coroner, it happened around the end of Malone's shift around 3 a.m.

Workers from the next shift found Malone trapped when they came in. He was pronounced dead at 4:27 a.m.

It is unknown whether the garage door malfunctioned.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is currently investigating the incident. WAND has reached out to them but has not heard back.

WAND has also reached out to Lyons for comment.
