Pierce the Lesser hedgehog tenrec from the Scovill Zoo visited the WAND news studio on Wednesday, August 13.

Don't be fooled by the name a tenrec is not actually related to a hedgehog. Native to Madagascar, and only 12 years old.

The Scovill Zoo is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
