COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - A Midlands man was sentenced to more than eight years in federal prison after selling guns to undercover agents.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office said Wednesday that 32-year-old Kendolius Cortez Jones pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Prosecutors said court evidence showed that between April and June 2023, Jones sold 13 guns to undercover agents.

He was banned from owning guns and ammunition due to previous charges, including criminal conspiracy, assault and battery, failure to stop for blue light, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, forgery, driving under suspension, and multiple drug-related counts.

A judge also ordered Jones to a three-year term of court-ordered supervision upon his release.
