LEXINGTON, S.C. (WIS) - A Lexington County man has been arrested on charges of trafficking fentanyl and distributing meth.

Deputies arrested 38-year-old Gary Edward Ware Jr., who, according to arrest warrants, is also charged with a weapon possession crime.

Deputies arrested Ware at his home Saturday.

“We’ve had previous encounters with Ware and received some recent intelligence about ongoing drug activity at his home on Hayride Road in Gilbert,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. “That prompted us to secure a search warrant for the home.”

Deputies said they found fentanyl, along with plastic bags used for packaging, a digital scale, and other drugs while executing the search warrant Saturday.
