PHOENIX – An intersection in the far West Valley was closed Wednesday morning due to a possible hazmat situation, authorities said.
The all-way closure was implemented at Wintersburg and Buckeye roads after a bleach-filled tanker truck and a vehicle collided, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
The driver of the truck was taken to a hospital for unspecified injuries, MCSO said.
A hazmat crew and deputies were dispatched to the scene, which is in an undeveloped area.
