RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The City of Reno has opened registration for Speedway Saturdays.

Parents and guardians can now register their children for this month’s Mario Kart Tournament. Individual sign-ups are required each month, and separate registration links are available for each age group.

Competition is only open for students enrolled in grades K-12 for the 2025-2026 school year and will be held twice a month.

One Saturday will feature the Kids Tournament for those under 13, with the other will be a Teens Tournament for participants aged 13-18. The cost to participate will be $20 a child.

The first official kids tournament will be held on Aug. 16. All tournaments will be held at the Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
