ROGERS, Ark. — The Rogers Convention Center hosted dozens of Arkansas officials for a discussion regarding plans for a controversial Franklin County prison on Wednesday, August 13, and 5NEWS streamed the meeting live.

Members of the Board of Corrections will met with State Senators, House Representatives, judges, sheriffs, and more during the meeting, which started at 3:30 p.m.

The group was likely to talk about the prospective prison's water needs, specifically the recent findings from the California-based construction company Vanir that suggested that wells near the prison , combined with Fort Smith's water supply , would not be enough to sustain the project.
