ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Wegmans Food Markets Inc. has recalled several camembert cheese products after learning they may be contaminated with listeria, a bacteria that can cause serious illness and death.

The Rochester, New York-based grocery chain recalled Wegmans Medium Camembert Soft Ripened Cheese and several other products containing the cheese. The affected items were sold between July 1 and Aug. 12 at all Wegmans stores in 10 states and Washington, D.C.
