GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WKYT) - Georgetown is getting a Publix.
The supermarket chain announced Wednesday that it has signed a lease for the city’s first location at Elkhorn Village Center, at the southwest corner of Frankfort Road and McClelland Circle.
The development will feature a 50,325-square-foot Publix Super Market and an adjacent Publix Liquors.
“We are excited to continue our growth across Kentucky with a new location in Georgetown,” said Jared Glover, media relations manager for Publix. “We look forward to our new customers experiencing the Publix difference soon.”
The store is expected to employ about 150 associates. An opening date has not been announced.
