QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A man was killed early Wednesday morning when he was hit by a runaway driver not too far from John F. Kennedy Airport, police said.
The 52-year-old victim was crossing at the intersection of 55th Street and South Conduit Avenue at 2:27 a.m. when he was hit by the vehicle, according to authorities.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead, officials reported.
Police are continuing to investigate details on the driver and vehicle.
