The community is invited to join a conference about the Highway 27 Interstate Beautification and Economic Growth Pilot Project on Thursday.

The conference will be Thursday, August 14 at 6:00pm at the Tennessee Aquarium.

The Tennessee Interstate Conservancy will announce updates regarding this project along Highway 27 at the 4th Street exits in downtown Chattanooga.

This project plans to visually enhance these areas and integrate environmental restoration. This includes the planting of trees, shrubs, flowers, and more.

Planting has already begun for this project. It is funded by the state of Tennessee.

Hamilton County, the City of Chattanooga, and the Tennessee Interstate Conservancy will fund the maintenance of the exit.
