TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - A Tallahassee man has pleaded guilty to multiple international child exploitation charges, according to a Wednesday press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida.

Austin Keith Hibbert, 25, entered a guilty plea to attempting to persuade a minor to engage in sexual activity, attempting to travel to engage in illicit sexual conduct and transferring obscene material to a person less than 16 years old, per the U.S. attorney’s office.

U.S. Attorney John P. Heekin said he is grateful for the efforts of law enforcement.

“This case represented one of parents’ worst nightmares – the targeting, grooming, and attempted exploitation of their child – but thankfully that nightmare did not become a reality for this family," Heekin said.
