HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - A Springfield man was arrested in Soucy Park in Holyoke during a multi-agency open-air drug dealing investigation.

Holyoke Police Chief Brian Keenan stated that officers were conducting surveillance on Tuesday alongside members of the Hampden County Narcotics Task Force, Massachusetts State Police Safe Unit, and the FBI Western Massachusetts Gang Task Force in an effort to address open-air drug distribution in city parks.

During the investigation, police observed a man conducting suspected drug deals from a bench at the playscape at Soucy Park. Members of the Hampden County Narcotics Task Force approached the suspect and detained him.
