“When you compare where we are, compared to those other teams in that same scenario, I feel like we are right where we need to be,” Taylor said.

The number of months have whittled themselves down to matter of weeks and days now, the pursuit for peak performance going on unabated.

“We want to be at our best when it matters most,” Sea Bears head coach and general manager Mike Taylor said. “We have got a very detailed plan (for championship weekend).”

The Sea Bears host the four-team championship tournament that kicks off Aug. 22 at the downtown den with the Western and Eastern Conference title games.
