MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia University will begin welcoming thousands of students to campus Thursday as residence hall move-ins kick off a weeklong slate of Welcome Week events.

Eric O’Hara, WVU’s director of housing, said move-in has been carefully coordinated to keep the process smooth and safe.

“We’ve been communicating with students and their families since the application process,” O’Hara said. “We have volunteers, residence hall staff and university police assisting to help students navigate move-in, unload and get settled into their space.”

From 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, incoming and returning students will settle into their campus housing.
