With the next municipal election set for fall of 2026, Cornwall councillors had the opportunity to ask questions about offering internet voting, in addition to the traditional methods in which residents cast their ballots.

Interim city clerk Denise Labelle-Gelinas reminded council of how it expressed a desire to incorporate internet voting following the 2022 municipal election. She shared Cornwall has issued a request for proposal , in partnership with other local municipalities, seeking the supply of a telephone, internet, and composite paper ballot/tabulator voting systems.
