LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Lincoln High hopes to build off last season’s 3-6 record on the football field. The Links have a young and eager team this fall, according to head coach Mark Macke. Multiple players are new to the sport, which energizes Macke’s coaching staff.
Lincoln High has starters returning at eight different positions. Junior Ben Lanham is working as the Links top quarterback after playing wide receiver last year. Macke said his squad will emphasize running the football with a few weapons in the backfield.
Lincoln High opens its season on Aug. 29 against Omaha Bryan.
