WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE) - The City of West Monroe is planning infrastructure improvements along Crosley Street, which runs between Trenton Street and North 7th Street.
A sanitary sewer project estimated at $500,000 is planned, with the city matching a portion of the state funding. Bids for the sewer project are already out.
A separate mill and overlay project will include road repairs and sidewalks. This project is still in the design phase, but the city has applied for funding for both projects through the State Economic Development Assistance Program.
City officials say the work is needed due to increased usage and an aging water system, as well as to prepare for future severe weather.
