MONROE, La. (KNOE) - The Monroe VFW Post 1809 finished 5th in their All-American division out of nearly 6,000 posts total at the VFW national convention.
According to post leadership, that means they’re doing exactly what they set out to do - taking care of our local veterans.
The Rodney J. Hobbs VFW Post 1809 was established in 1930. They offer everything from veteran support to community initiatives.
The QuarterMaster of Post 1809, Stepheni LeGuin, says it’s an honor to be recognized at their national convention. She also says they will continue to help veterans in our community in any way they can.
