PASSENGERS of a major airline run the risk of having their flight canceled after employees protest their working conditions.

Hundreds of Air Canada employees picketed outside the airline's offices on Monday, demanding wage increases.

Over 700 protestors held signs outside the Toronto Pearson International airport that read “Unpaid work won’t fly,” Reuters reported.

The group of employees consisted mainly of female flight attendants, dressed in their dark grey uniforms.

The walkout, orchestrated by the Canadian Union of Public Employees, occurred on one of the busiest days of the year for flights.
