THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) -- 21-month-old River Wilson’s tiny casket was brought into St. Helena Church in the Bronx on Wednesday morning.

It was an outpouring of grief on full display, via invited news crews, and a Facebook live stream, both made at the insistence of River’s parents… and borne out of a desire to share their baby girl’s short, but full life with the world.

"Let us turn these moments of sadness into a celebration of a beautiful life," said Pastor Jorge Ramirez.

What is also true – the family is on a quest for accountability from the home-based day care facility just a few blocks away, where River drowned on August 1 in the property’s backyard swimming pool.
