In a Facebook post, animal control officers said Trooper Mo, a pitt bull, is suffering from a large abdominal mass and cancer in his intestines.

"He was left to fend for himself in his final days, a truly unimaginable act of cruelty," the Facebook post read. "Trooper Mo is a gentle soul who deserved comfort, love, and the best possible care that could have been given to him for the time he has left."
