A woman who was shot in Boston’s Hyde Park neighborhood has died, with one person in police custody facing a murder charge, Boston police said Wednesday.

At around 10:30 a.m., officers received a radio call for shots fired on Faraday Street, police said in a statement .

Officers found a man and a woman who were both shot several times, the statement read. Both were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, where the woman was pronounced dead.

Following an investigation, police arrested Jonathan Hernandez, 41, of Hyde Park, police said. Hernandez faces one count of murder, one count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and one count of assault with intent to murder.

He is expected to be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court.
