BOSSIER CITY, La. -- The Bossier City Metropolitan Planning Commission has issued a warning to those who make application to the agency to be cautious about fake invoices being sent by unauthorized agencies.

The fraudulent invoices look like they are from the "City of Bossier Planning Commission." However, they are from third parties attempting to defraud individuals and businesses.

So far, about $10,000 has been scammed from citizens, according to a city spokesman.
