MONROE, La. (KNOE) - We are continuing to track a tropical disturbance in the southern Gulf. This disturbance has a 50 percent chance of formation over the next 2 to 7 days.

Whether it forms into a tropical depression or tropical storms, it will likely bring the chance of heavy rain to southern Texas heading in to the weekend.

The latest ensemble forecast (spaghetti models) show the center of the disturbance moving into southern Texas over the next few days.

We will continue to monitor this disturbance into the weekend.
