A school bus in Leander, Texas carrying students rolled over on the side of a road on Monday injuring multiple passengers.

"Police officers identified 43 total patients from the collision, of those, 12 needed transport, one has life-threatening injuries, two have potentially life threatening injuries, and the remaining 40 have non-life-threatening injuries," Assistant Chief Kevin Parker told the press.

The road has a "slight curve" public information officer Billy Ray said before adding that the bus was equipped with seatbelts.

"This part of our the Leander ISD family has been through so much already this summer with the floods and this tragedy this afternoon is really breaking our hearts," Bruce Gearing, the Superintendent of Leander ISD said.
