RAWLINS -- As of Monday, Aug. 11, Rawlins Police Chief Michael Ward will take on a new title - acting city manager

During City Manager Thomas Sarvey’s absence, the Rawlins City Council implemented a temporary leadership plan that would provide further details by Aug. 12. This gave the council the opportunity to consider longer-term leadership options while ensuring city business moved forward, according to a Tuesday press release.

Downtown Development Authority Executive Director PamelaThayer initially served in this capacity, to provide continuity for operations. Rawlins City Council voiced they are grateful for her service during this transition.
