A federal judge has ordered the Trump administration to improve conditions inside 26 Federal Plaza, an immigration facility in Lower Manhattan.

Video from last month shows overcrowded and seemingly unsanitary conditions at the holding unit there.

The judge’s ruling limits capacity in the facility and orders immigration officers to provide clean bedding and hygiene supplies, and gives those detained the opportunity to talk with an attorney, among other things.

City Comptroller Brad Lander was arrested at the facility earlier this summer and has been an advocate for improving its conditions. He joined “Inside City Hall” Wednesday night to discuss the order.
