ALBANY, N.Y. – A Saratoga County man was arrested Wednesday and charged with cyberstalking and leaving threatening voice mails to a family member of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in the hours after he was allegedly murdered in Manhattan by a gunman, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of New York said Wednesday.

Shane Daley, 40, of Galway, is alleged to have made multiple calls to a work line used by a member of Thompson’s family and leaving threats in voicemail messages that expressed satisfaction over Thompson’s killing and manner of his death, and stated that the victim and Thompson’s children deserved to meet the same violent end.

Daley allegedly made the calls between Dec. 4-7, 2024.

He was expected to be arraigned at 2 p.m. Wednesday in before federal Judg
