The City Council is set to vote on two bills aimed at protecting transgender healthcare rights on Thursday.

One would require the city’s health department to distribute and post information on residents’ rights to be addressed by their preferred pronouns and gender.

The other mandates reporting on any sensitivity training for department staff.

Public Advocate Jumaane Williams, who spearheaded the legislation, joined “Mornings On 1” ahead of the vote to discuss the measures.
