Sen. Moody is urging passage of the Graham Hoffman Act, named after a paramedic who was attacked and killed in Missouri earlier this year by a known criminal while on duty. Moody says first responders face daily risks on the job.
The news conference brought together lawmakers, Sheriff Mina and first responders, all united behind the same message: violence against first responders will not be tolerated.
