BURKE COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Several fire crews responded to a fire at a poultry farm in southern Burke County Wednesday afternoon.

According to local firefighters, the structure fire occurred on Byrd Rudge Drive, off Rhoney Road. Heavy smoke was shown coming from a collapsed farm structure.

George Hildebran Fire & Rescue led the response, and was joined by South Mountain, Enola, Icard Township, Salem, Burke EMS and Burke County Rescue.
