ALEXANDRIA — With a trio of birdies, Alexandria native and Edina resident Bryce Hanstad did what he needed to on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025, in order to qualify for the 2025 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship.

Hanstad shot 1-under par at a qualifier at the Troy Burne Golf Club in Hudson, Wisconsin, on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025.

Hanstad finished fourth at 1-under par (70) to grab one of the four qualifying spots.

Hanstad birdied holes No. 1, No. 2, and No. 6 on Aug. 12.

Harris Arnold of England, Yarri Bryn of Coon Rapids, and Erik Bredesen of Minneapolis tied for first at 2-under par (69).

The 2025 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship runs from Sept. 13-18, 2025, at the Troon Country Club in Scottsdale, Arizona.
