CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - A Cedar Rapids nonprofit born out of the disaster caused by the 2020 derecho is working today to meet some very different needs.

“Together We Achieve” is 5 years old this week. It was a grassroots effort that literally started out as a way to help friends and families, but it grew much more.

“This would be the folding table we started with,” said Found and Executive Director Raymond Siddell.

Siddell was going through pictures of the early days of TWA, looking back at what started in the wake of the 2020 derecho.

“I started it in the real estate office parking lot after the Facebook group, just trying to get people together,” he said.

With only the singular folding table, Sidell started taking in donations day in and day out.
