ST. LOUIS (First Alert 4) -- Ten years have passed since Whitney Brown was shot and killed near Schulte and Mimika Avenues in north St. Louis, but her family says the pain hasn’t faded, and neither has their fight for justice.

Brown, 25, was an unintended target in a shooting on August 13, 2015. Her 5-year-old son and her sister were in the car when she was hit. She took her final breaths with them by her side.

“I’m always looking at people wondering, did you do it? That’s a scary feeling to have,” her mother, Erica Jones said. “That’s my biggest hurt right now — what happened? It seems like there are no more leads, no more information, and nobody is telling anybody anything on a double homicide for $5,000.”

The family says they have not received any updates from police — no phone calls
