ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A new counseling support center has opened in memory of Megan Meier, a St. Charles teenager who took her own life after an adult neighbor cyberbullied her.
Since the 2006 tragedy, Megan’s mom has fought to honor her and help the community. On Wednesday, the Megan Meier Foundation opened a new counseling support center in St. Charles near First Capitol and Kingshighway.
Tina Meier said the free space offers a comforting place for kids who may be struggling with life.
The Megan Meier Foundation said that nearly 1,000 youth have received counseling since 2016. They have connected with nearly 750,000 students, parents and teachers through speaking at schools and other organizations.
