WASHINGTON — Days after a controversial federal takeover of the DC Police Department, residents and community leaders are voicing concern. They're worried, not only about public safety but about how the move was rolled out and what it means for the future of policing in the city .
"How are we collaborating with other agencies?" Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner (ANC) Steven McCarty asked during a community safety walk on Wednesday night.
