Tennessee Tech leaving the OVC

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Jumping to college athletics, we’ve got movement in the Ohio Valley Conference.

Tennessee Tech will be leaving the Ohio Valley Conference to join the Southern Conference in the 2026-27 school year.

The OVC released a statement from Conference Commissioner Beth DeBauche, in which she says, “Our collective institutions and athletic programs remain committed to the conference, to one another, and to our football association, and we will continue to aggressively pursue addition membership.”
