EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Our Touchdown Live high school football previews, continue, with Boonville.

The Pioneers are one of several southwest Indiana schools, who have a new man at the helm. Longtime assistant coach, Jonathan Batts, takes over for the departed, Darin Ward. Batts has been with the program for a decade, and so his familiarity helps not only him, but also the players, during the transition, who are all excited that they can play for someone, who they know very well.

“A lot of familiarity within the program, the community, and the kids on this team. I’ve coached a lot of them the last few years, and even some of them in middle school,” said New Head Coach Jonathan Batts.
