OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — The Okaloosa County School Board will name Ruckel Middle School's new cafetorium in honor of their late principal, according to an Okaloosa County School District news release.

"The Dr. Ginny Morgan Cafetorium" was voted unanimously by members of the board. It is a multi-use building that serves as a cafeteria and an activity hub for student life, performances, science fairs, tutoring, and community events.

Dr. Virginia "Ginny" Henderson Morgan dedicated her career to education and the students of Okaloosa County, the release said.

She began teaching at Ruckel in 1968, served as district math supervisor, and later became principal.

Dr. Morgan introduced programs such as the International Baccalaureate and “Alternatives to Learning,” the release said.
