Wegmans is recalling a handful of its cheese products

Wegmans is recalling an assortment of its cheese products.

The popular grocery chain announced on Aug. 12 that its Medium Camembert Soft Ripened Cheese and products containing it were to be recalled, per a listing from the Food and Drug Administration .

The cheese may have been contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, which can cause fatal infections in young children, elderly people or people with compromised immune systems, and potentially cause miscarriages and stillbirths for pregnant people.
