The future of a water play area in a Coventry park remains uncertain more than a year on due to 'significant damage'. The War Memorial Park's Splash and Play was closed over a year ago due to a 'fault in the pump room'.
The Splash and Play area was installed in 2004, and children could enjoy 36 water jets, as well as water features including the 'Water Ring', the 'Mushroom', the 'Popits', and 'Drencher'. Coventry City Council previously said it would reopen in time for the summer holiday period.
But now the council says that the splash park 'remains closed' and that it is exploring 'options' for its future. The authority advised families that there is still 'plenty of fun' to enjoy at the park.
