DETROIT LAKES — 16-year-old Chase Birdwell from Blaine, Minnesota, was crowned the 2025 Championship division medalist in his first-ever Pine to Palm on Wednesday, Aug. 13.

The Class AAA boys golf state participant highlighted a day filled with exciting Championship division golf. Only the top 64 survived, which included a one-hole, 11-man playoff to decide the final five spots.

The Legends division teed off for match play at Lakeview earlier in the day with upsets galore. The full breakdown of Day 3 and the final day of qualifiers can be found here .
