PHOENIX — The Federal Bureau of Investigation reports that violent crime is going down nationwide and in Arizona, according to recently released data.

The statistics are provided from hundreds of police and sheriff departments all across the country. It looks into homicides, rapes, aggravated assaults and robberies. It also has data related to property crimes like car thefts and burglaries.

According to that data, Arizona is also seeing a slight decrease in violent and property crimes. However, taking a closer look at individual cities in the Valley shows that's not the case everywhere.
