BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - The Birmingham Police Department has arrested a man in connection to a domestic violence incident they say happened on Monday, Aug. 11, 2025.

That’s when police were called to the 600 block of Brussels Circle to investigate a domestic related incident .

When they arrived at the scene, officers found two victims. After Birmingham Fire and Rescue crews evaluated them, they found neither of the victims were injured.

Police identified the suspect as 32-year-old Demetrius McClinton of Birmingham. He was arrested on Aug. 12 in the 2300 block of 30th Street Ensley on two charges related to domestic violence and one charge of first degree kidnapping.

McClinton was booked into the Jefferson County Jail where he is being held without bond.
