SARASOTA, Fla. ( WWSB ) -Expect a fairly steady weather pattern across the region through Friday, with mostly light winds and daily chances of showers and storms. This is especially true inland during the afternoon and evening, where the sea breeze will overtake the light winds and push into Hardee and DeSoto. Skies will generally start off quiet in the mornings, with scattered rain and thunderstorms forming as the day heats up. Speaking of heat, for the next couple of days the afternoon will continue to see “feels like” temperatures in the 100 to 105 degree range closer to the coast. Temperatures in Hardee and DeSoto could reach the mid to upper 90s by tomorrow and the weekend with Heat Index temperatures close to 110.
